Odor

Removal

Persistent odors from fire, sewage, mold, or unknown sources require more than air fresheners. We locate the source, treat it at the molecular level, and confirm air quality before we close out.

Odor Elimination

Persistent odor is one of the most disruptive problems a property can have. Whether from fire, sewage backup, mold, pets, or unknown sources, odor embedded in walls, flooring, and HVAC systems cannot be eliminated with sprays or air fresheners — the source must be identified and the treatment must reach the same surfaces the odor did.

We locate and physically remove the odor source before any treatment begins. Then we deploy industrial hydroxyl generators or ozone machines to neutralize odor molecules at the chemical level, followed by HEPA air scrubbing to filter residual particulate from the space.

Post-treatment air quality testing confirms your space meets safe standards before we close out. If the odor comes back, we come back — because we treat the cause, not the symptom.

HEPA air scrubbers and post-treatment testing confirm your air quality meets safe standards.

How Odor Removal Works

1

Odor Source Assessment

We identify the type and source of odor to determine the most effective treatment method.

2

Source Removal

The odor source is physically located and eliminated before any treatment begins.

3

Hydroxyl or Ozone Treatment

Industrial-grade hydroxyl generators or ozone machines neutralize odor molecules throughout the space.

4

HEPA Air Scrubbing

Air scrubbers filter airborne particles and residual odor compounds from the treated space.

5

Post-Treatment Testing

Air quality testing confirms odor levels are within safe, acceptable standards before we close out.

Odor Removal FAQ

What types of odors can you remove?

We treat fire and smoke odor, sewage and biohazard odor, pet odor, mold and mildew odor, and general musty or chemical odors. If you can smell it, we can treat it.

What is hydroxyl treatment and is it safe?

Hydroxyl generators produce hydroxyl radicals that break down odor-causing molecules at the chemical level. Unlike ozone treatment, hydroxyl is safe to use while occupants and pets remain in the space.

How long does odor removal take?

Treatment time depends on the odor type and severity. Most hydroxyl or ozone treatments run for 24 to 72 hours. We test air quality after treatment to confirm the odor has been eliminated before closing out.

Will the odor come back after treatment?

If the odor source has been physically removed and the treatment is complete, odor will not return. Odors that come back after treatment typically indicate the source was not fully located or eliminated.

Does homeowner's insurance cover odor removal?

Coverage depends on the source. Odor resulting from a covered loss such as fire or sewage backup is typically covered. Odor from pet damage or long-term neglect is generally not. We help you document the cause for your adjuster.
